Most patients can enjoy a selection of normal dietary items like potatoes with no problems. Sometimes how they are seasoned will make some items less enjoyable.

If you are overweight, losing weight would be help in reducing GERD. You may eat the foods you like, however, you need to watch the amount you eat. Wish you good health!

FYIProcessed potatoes, fried potato and potato chips, are known to aggravate GERD. FYI, high-fibre foods, whole grains and root vegetable such as sweet potato, are known to ameliorate the GERD symptoms.
