A member asked:

What is a way to test for thumb laxity in either side of the mcp joint of the thumb. i fell 7 weeks ago and it is still bothering me?

Yes: You test for laxity by gently trying to bend the joint in a direction it normally shouldn't bend. You can use your other thumb for comparison. If there is a difference you should see a doctor.
