No guarantees: Cocaine crosses the placenta, so you have no guarantee that problems may have occurred earlier in the pregnancy. While the baby will probably not test positive, it will still need to be checked and watched carefully by the pediatrician and neonatal unit staff.

Cocaine: The baby may test positive if they check the cord blood or meconium ( baby poop ) most narcotics and illicit drugs will show up after 12 weeks gestation

Hard to say: If I am concerned enough to look, I will find it. The kids/your pee test will be negative, but if you are on the radar of Child and Family Services we don't stop there.Other tests can show any exposure during the last 24 weeks or so of pregnancy. It is great that you stopped, but only time will tell.
