Unclear question: If you are talking about the baby in womb, cocaine will be in cord blood if mother is taking cocaine. After the baby is born, cord blood is not relevant.

Not where we look: If you have come under suspicion for drug use we don't look at cord blood to track the exposure. Your urine would usually be tested in labor as would the babies first pee. The best record of any drug exposure is the kids first poo. It can retain a record of any drug exposure from the point the body begins to make it at about 12 weeks right up to delivery.It retains at least several months of data
