Dental abscess: Start with your dentist. If you need further expertise they will refer you.

Either one: Dental infections are usually treated with antibiotics and later surgery if there is an abscess. Either type of provider should be able to help you, although the dentist would be able to help you with both phases of treatment.

Tooth abscess: A tooth abscess should be seen by your dentist. But he may want you on an antibiotic first so call your physician.

Gingivitis: Attend to this immediately. This sounds like a gum infection, gingivitis. Contact your dentist ASAP who will start you on an oral antibiotic, have you use a very soft toothbrush or even put you on an antibiotic mouthwash that disinfects your mouth instead of brushing, and then investigate why you have numbness and/or an infected molar and socket. It is possible that you might need a root canal
