I run ultras. I recently added a carbon fiber plate to help my ball of foot and toe pain under my Rx orthotic for Platar F, but it alters the fit of my shoes. Would a carbon fiber running shoe offer me the same benefits as the carbon fiber insert?
I have been having foot pain for a couple days now. I used to wear orthotic shoe inserts.I have knee problem. This is on my left foot. It's pulsating.

Tip of big toe numb. doesn't matter is shoe is off or on, still numb. I have DDD in my lumbar spine. could this be the cause or other ideas..
I wear 1/2 (short) orthotics and have removed the liner of the shoes so one half of the shoe has orthotic and the other has a hard surface. Is it ok? Is it bad for knees, etc? Should I use toe pads?
