Can be normal: The only significance of a varicocele is that it can make it difficult to have a baby because the extra blood makes the sperm warmer. This is usually only an issue with a very large varicocele which would be readily seen of physical examination. If you are having trouble getting your wife pregnant, discuss it with a urologist who can study your semen analysis and help you determine what to do

Not necessarily: Varicoceles are common. Indications for treatment are limited to pain and infertility. If neither of these are issues then treatment is not indicated.
