Avoid surgery: No. That is a last choice on the list. Most of these common fluid filled cysts resolve on their own.

Depends: Varicoceles are dilated pampiniform veins around the testicle. They most often occur on the left and are most commonly asymptomatic. Symptoms could include chronic testicular pain, testicular atrophy and infertility. Varicoceles will not resolve on their own. If you have symptoms, these can be treated using surgical Urology techniques or mini-invasive embolization by an Interventional Radiologist
