Sanitization: As you probably know, community acquired staph infections are wide spread and once a family member gets involved, they keep getting reinfected for a variety of reasons, One approach ofr this annoying problem, with some promise, is bleach bath. Mix 1/2 cup regular household beach in a quarter-ful bath tub with luke warm water and let the person sit in it for 15-20 min 2-3/wk for a month.

Discuss with doc: There is a good chance there is a staph carrier in his life. One thing would be to have everyone tested (nasal swab) for staph carrier status.Include the family furry pet if appropriate. If found they need to be treated. Bleach baths, good hand washing are part of a long term plan. If your regular doc id frustrated see an infectious disease person.
