Go see Dr.: Sounds like an evaluation by your Dr. is in order. If not clear from a basic throat exam, they may refer you to an Ear Nose and Throat doctor to use a small fiber optic scope to look at the back of your throat. If this is normal, it may represent a condition known as "globus" which is a sensation of a "lump" in one's throat which can be caused by stress.

Globus: Globus or lump sensation in the throat may be due to infection, allergy, reflux, foreign body (fish/chicken bone), scrape or scuff of the pharynx. Increase fluid intake. If symptoms persist, an otolaryngologist may check the pharynx/throat with a small scope.
