Unusual, but...: Jaw pain would be an unusual symptom to occur in isolation in someone with multiple sclerosis, however MS is the great pretender--it can produce a multitude of symptoms depending on which part of the brain is affected. I would discuss this with your MS specialist, but also schedule a basic dental examination to make certain that you do not have TMJ. Take care, and stay healthy!

What kind of pain?: It's not that common for people with MS to have jaw pain, but if you mean a pain that is very sharp or electrical, brief in duration, and that occurs on one side, you may be talking about the condition trigeminal neuralgia. This is a condition that may occur with MS, or it may occur by itself, with no apparent cause. Does that help?

Not really: Would instead search for dental or TMJ components, and seek out answers from your dentist. The only jaw pain I would consider would be Trigeminal Neuralgia in the V-III division of cranial nerve V, and that would involve paroxysmal intense lancinating and immobilizing pain lasting a few seconds. If this is what you experience, then have your doctor handle this.

No but: No, but it is common for females your age to have TMJ problems. Or wisdom tooth pain. You may want an evaluation by an oral surgeon to determine what the nature of your jaw pain problem is.
