SLEEP PARALYSIS: You describe a symptom associated with a sleep disorder, and yes, sleep disorders are clearly associated with multiple sclerosis, but this in itself, would not be diagnostic, and i would tend to do an overnight sleep study as an initial evaluation. Your doctor may have found some problems on exam, and MRI may prove informative, but you may next need to pursue other answers.
