If there is no evidence in a xray or ct scan can they give vp shunt surgery i have been having pain and been taking advil (ibuprofen) constantly ?

Sorry to hear: if your neurosurgeon told you that the CT and Xrays indicate shunt is ok then doubtful that surgery is planned. However, speak to your doc about another medication if advil (ibuprofen) is not helping.
