A member asked:

Had gallbladder removal surgery yesterday & was given hydrocodone for pain which is making me dizzy & not fully helping can i take advil (ibuprofen) as well?

It should be okay: It's best to check with your surgeon, but Advil (ibuprofen) should be fine and can help with pain without making you dizzy. It also will not cause constipation like hydrocodone. You can start with 2 pills every 6-8 hours and see if it helps. If you need to, you can take 3 pills every 8 hours. Make sure to take Advil (ibuprofen) with food.
