I had four quadrant osseous surgery two weeks ago still having pain in my jaw. increased sensitivity also. taking 6 advil (ibuprofen) a day. is this normal?

Maybe.: $ quads of osseous surgery typically will result in discomfort ranging from moderate to severe depending on how extesive the surgery was. I am not surprised that you're still in pain. This type of surgery can take 4 to 6 weeks to become comfortable again. If you're worried, see the dentist who did the surgery and let him check the area.

It is not normal: Generally, NSAIDs (Advil, Aleve, (naproxen) etc.) are starting the morning before surgery, and taken for 3-7 days. After this time no prescription medications are normally needed. In addition to the NSAIDs, a narcotic may be recommended for the first few days. Contact your surgeon for post op evaluation. Take care.
