can si joint pain cause nerve pain in the calf?get horrible pain at night when trying to sleep. had mri and have no disk problems, so confused.

Sciatica: SI joint pain alone can't, but if you have a muscle spasm irritating your sciatic nerve, it can cause pain shooting down your leg. This requires very specific treatment. See your doctor who can examine you and prescribe the correct medications. Hope this helps!
