Been on warfarin for 8 years. im having joint stiffness. i cant even get up from kneeling. ive had differing doctor opinions about which noac is less likely to cause this problem so im more confused. do you know which noac might be best for me?

I have no knowledge about this adverse effect (joint pain or stiffness) of Warfarin. You didn't say you take warfarin for what condition. Patients with certain conditions still need to be on Warfarin. If you are taking for atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism, etc. NOAC or DOAC can replace warfarin and there are several of them provided your insurance covers the cost.

I agree that this isn't a characteristic side effect of warfarin, but is a common symptom of knee osteoarthritis. Because of being on an anticoagulant you'll have to avoid anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or naproxen and take acetaminophen instead. Consider physical therapy for your knee stiffness.
