Good questions: Those are all good questions. You should not get sciatica in your calf only- perhaps it is a little different. So you have calf pain on one side, SI joint pain, and the discs are ok. The piriformis is in this neighborhood, normally it causes problems with gluteal muscle size and strength. Have you ever had EMG or nerve conduction testing? It may be too hard to sort out your cause by chatting.

Possibly: Hi Amy, Sciatica typically radiates down the full length of the legs. It may be one-sided or both sides. Piriformis syndrome also may cause a similar sensation. Have you been evaluated by a doctor to rule out disk problems? It certainly sounds like the pain may be caused by a back problem. It is possible it is from the piriformis. If you have not been evaluated by a physician please do so

Sciatica still can b: One can still have sciatica without DISK problems. Many other places within the anatomy of the vertebral bodies that nerve roots involved in causing sciatica can be compromised. Symptoms can radiate above the calf or below the calf...typically into the big toe but certainly not always. Best option is to neurologist for good once over and potentially some electrical testing is diagnosis unclear.

Absolutely, yes.: Yes, you can get sciatica just in your calf with or without back pain. When you say there is no disk problem, is this known from a lumbar spine MRI?
