White blood cell bands increased for the last 3 months. it was 8, then 10, now 12. i haven't had fever or infection. could this mean cancer is back?

Need more info: Not likely to have recurrence based on your band count. Since you have had no fever or evidence of infection, you hopefully have had a good careful physical exam. The band count without the white count also is difficult to interpret. Please see you physician and put your mind at ease. Best of luck.

Not helpful: Don't draw any conclusions from this. Bands vary, mostly with how well the lab looks for them. Your papillary thyroid cancer will either not recur, or recur as itself -- another tiny lump -- or much less likely, in an unmistakable form as a rapidly-growing mass.
