Could be worse: Real and dangerous diseases like Ulcerative colitis need real follow up, evaluation and treatment with real medications that are studied in safety, efficacy, reliability, shelf-life, interactions with other medications, etc. VSL#3 should tell you about probiotics. Its the first one that even tries slightly to be reliable. It's shelf-life, whether it gets to the consumer in good shape, NOT TESTED.

Both may help: Those with ulcerative colitis usually have imbalances of GI flora and VSL#3 is a good choice to improve this. Preliminary research shows LDN can help many autoimmune conditions including colits and is safe to try. I recommend the book The Immune System Recovery Plan: A Doctor's 4-Step Program to Treat Autoimmune Disease by Susan Blum MD to all with autoimmune conditions like ulcerative colitis.
