A member asked:

I had a bridge done on molars 17,18,19. the color is more yellow than adjacent teeth, and the top is flat with no ridges for chewing. is this normal?

Get a new dentist.: That is just wrong. Get a good dentist who is not color blind, make sure the impression is not rushed, and send it to a good lab.

Not really: The color is an easy match.. there are multiple shades to choose from. Regarding the occlusal anatomy, the bridge needs to interdigitate with your maxillary teeth so that you can chew properly. Many factors go into this, including available space and the anatomy of the upper teeth. You should address your concerns with the dentist who made the bridge.

Doubtful: Although there are many factors involved in creating a functional and esthetic restoration, Dentist should strive to reproduce the anatomy and color of what is being replaced. If you have concerns, return to your Dentist and discuss the issues. You may want to seek a second opinion from specialist Preosthodontist.
