NO: Cough and cold are not part of teething. It is usually secondary to a viral infection. If your child is having only cold and cough, with no difficulty breathing or fever, you can treat runny nose with nasal saline drops and suctioning nose with bulb syringe. No otc cough medicines are recommended for his age since they dont work and can may have adverse side effects.

Not from teething: Call Pediatrician about his symptoms. Also call a Pediatric Dental Specialist (a Pedodontist), for all the same reasons your child sees a Pediatric Medical Specialist, for your child's 1st dental examination. He/she's 2 months past due for 1st examination. Pedodontist is best specialist to discuss teething with you.
