Look for these signs: The tissue at the base of the blister is probably very irritated because of the friction that caused the blister and now worse because the skin and blister fluid are no longer protecting the area. Infection is not likely as long as you keep the wound clean and protected. Look out for worsening swelling, redness advancing beyond the wound or up the leg, pus from the wound, or lymph node swelling.

Wash it: Make sure you have washed it well and then add a band-aid. Don't run until its better. if it gets worse fo to urgent care
