Biopsy may be needed: Why was a CT done in the first place? If it was because you were feeling sick, then your doctor will probably want to figure out why you have these enlarged lymph nodes. That may take a biopsy. Generally speaking, enlarged lymph nodes are due to infection or cancer. (There are other rare causes.)
