Globus: Globus or "lump" sensation is often the result of sinus post nasal drainage and silent reflux. Smoking makes this worse also. Some other causes include Zenker's diverticulum, goiter, stress, neurological disorders. Your otolaryngologist will most likely place a flexible scope through you nose into the throat to assess. Evaluate further with persistent symptoms while treating possible causes.
