You may need : a mood stabilizing medication if you are feeling worse on Lexapro (escitalopram). There's no specific med for PTSD. What we do is treat the symptoms an individual person is having. If one is depressed, an antidepressant may be helpful. If one has real mood swings, there are various meds that can help keep mood more stable. You may need to try several different meds before finding one that helps. Don't give up!
