On day 6 of lexapro (escitalopram). day 1 i felt some uptick in mood, but nothing since. also, take at 8am but seems like around 9pm i feel a little jittery. normal?

Takes 3 to 6 weeks: You are very early to notice an improvement from the SSRI. Most notice it's benefits between 3 and 6 weeks. The jitters end of day could be a small side effect as your body adjusts to the new medication.

Dose?: You may need a higher dose of Lexapro (escitalopram) for full antidepressant effect. Improved mood should last 24/7 with therapeutic daily dose. Jittery feeling may be from low dose blood level wearing off too soon. Discuss with prescribing doctor.
