Be careful: A spinal cord stimulator could be great, or a nightmare. Take note if you did not respond to the trial then do not have one installed, that much said your cardiologist can advise your risk dont smoke, stay off meds only minimal time, and if too risky can take heparin shots to keep you thin until day of surgery

IMHO: They don't want too much bleeding from placement of the stimulator. If they've decided to do that, then hopefully they've decided the benefits outweigh the risk (probably a small risk anyways), I'm sure they'll put you right back on it in a day or two at most. But, hey, ask them too!!
