Knee pain: Clarence, I'm sorry to hear about your granny's knee pain. At her age it is normal to have some degree of osteoarthritis, it comes from years of wear and tear on a joint. The only cure is replacement which may not be an option in Azerbijan or in your granny's case. She is using good medications I see. She can also get steroid injections from her doctor and a knee brace sometimes helps. Good luck.

Needs to see doctor: Sounds like there is definitely something wrong with her right knee and she should see a doctor for this. You could try an ace wrap, tylenol, (acetaminophen) some ice packs and elevation of the knee, but really she should be seen soon. Not sleeping due to pain could indicate a serious conditions
