Sleep not restful: It might be best to have your lower back evaluated first. The even low-grade pain can undermine restful sleep. Chronic sleep deprivation can contribute to daytime tiredness, physical symptoms from nausea to hypertension or memory problems. If the sleep problem preceded the back pain, one might begin there. Do you snore or stop breathing? Toss/turn, or kick and jerk? Aching/cramping or restless?
