I drank lactulose 10mg for a sibo breath test. i went to the bathroom 12 times. i am cramping bad, bloated, very ill. does this indicate i have sibo?

Expected side effect: Lactulose acts as an osmotic laxative- it causes bowel movements as well as gas and bloating for just about anyone that takes it. Your "reaction" to the lactulose does not by itself indicate small intestine bacterial overgrowth.
