Encephalitis : Signs and symptoms of encephalitis in children may include fever, headache, vomiting, stiff neck or back pain, lethargy, weakness, unsteady gait, confusion, agitation, sensitivity to light, coma, seizures, and paralysis. Infants may also demonstrate poor feeding, irritability, bulging fontanelle, and body stiffness.
