Lovenox (enoxaparin) & Pregnancy: Lovenox is as effective as xarelto in treating blood clots. Pregnancy is a known risk factor for blood clot formation. For pregnant woman, lovenox is recommended because it is safe to fetus, while xarelto or coumadin (warfarin) are not. Duration of therapy should continue at least 6 weeks postpartum or longer. Sufficient treatment will reduce blood clot recurring risk significantly, but not to the zero.
