Yes: there can be seasonal patterns. keep a mood log (examples online) and overtime you can notice symptoms, changes and triggers that can help stop or minimize exacerbations. keeping a manic episode at bay or from getting worse can obviously be a lifesaver. you might be able to even try dose increases in mood stabilizer as winter wanes and spring begins and prevent something altogether.
