Scaring of the lining can prevent bleeding.This is how endometrial ablation works.Some endocrine problems can also interfere with growth of the lining.The provera (medroxyprogesterone) can be used as part of the work up to diagnose the lack of periods.Talk to your Dr.

It seems your provider is trying to induce bleeding with Provera (medroxyprogesterone) which is expected within 2 weeks. Continue evaluation.

Amenorrhea: Causes of having no period (amenorrhea) vary. Hypothalamus,pituitary, and thyroid gland disorders. Medications especially birth control. Excessive exercise and body stress. Low body weight,caloric intake, body fat percentage, emotional stress. Scar tissue in the uterus can also cause amenorrhea. Follow up with your GYN of family doctor to rule out causes if you have not already.
