Anovulation: I am going to presume that if you are on Provera (medroxyprogesterone) and metformin that you have pcos. Polycystic ovarian syndrome defined as anovulation, hyperestrogen and hyperandrogen (testosterone). Symptoms include irregular menses, weight gain, hirsutism and Insulin resistance. Metformin controls your blood sugar and in some instances can cause ovulation to occur. The Provera (medroxyprogesterone) which is Progesterone counters.
