Possible: Your body could be using your iron store to produce red blood cells. You will eventually become anemic though.

Low iron normal Hgb: Low iron is relatively recent in onset for you, it seems. If your iron remains low over months, then your RBC and hemoglobin levels will certainly decline. RBC have a 120 day life.
