Can a seizure be a result of diabetes?

Yes: In my experience as a pediatrician, diabetics-hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) both can seizure, coma, and even death. Head trauma, illness and fever are other causes of seizures.

Yes, but...: To be more precise, due to low blood sugars in patients being treated for diabetes with sulfonylureas, glinides, or too much insulin.
