Is there a chance a bothersome hernia may go undetected with physical exam, ultrasound & ct scan? if so..what do i do?

Not likely: if ultrasound was a dedicated study done in various positions. Consult with a surgeon regarding options for treatment, such as injection or even surgical exploration, if you have continued symptoms.
