Lifted heavy load.intense pain along hip bone & groin. during exam dr. said she reduced a hernia. ct scan & x-ray of hip shows nothing. this was end of jan. still have pain along hip bone & hip can't put weight on leg. maybe a tear needs surgery?

Clearly you have a susceptibility to a facia weakness (a hernia) which your doctor has said she reduced. Hernias don't just get better, time and strain cause them to become worse, and unless you want to go around with a truss I recommend seeing a surgeon to have the problem fixed properly. They have some great techniques these days.
