MIR or MRI?: MRIs are a type of radiological procedure done to analyze a particular body part. You will be laying down on a table and slid into a circular machine. Depending on the body part of interest you may be fully positioned or closed or it can be done "open" for this who are claustrophobic. It can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes to complete depending on how still or cooperative you are when laying down
