Back MRI: Depending on the type of scanner, you may have to be placed in the scanner feet first(with head out of scanner), head first, or upright. If you are claustrophobic you may want the feet first type, or an "open" rather than closed unit. You may or may not get an IV injection. The scan may be noisy, you may get headphones with music. May take 20-40 minutes.
