Yes: Hormonal therapy, such as progesterone (Provera) or other oral contraceptives are commonly used to treat dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which exerts its effect by impact normal ovulation and implantation of menstruation. All hormonal therapy does carry a warning label of increased blood clots, especially in smokers.
