Tonsil: Get a culture 5 days off antibiotics and see what the bacteria is and what it is sensitive to. get checked for mono as well Good luck

Change Antibiotics: Three courses of the same antibiotic with continued symptoms says you need a different antibiotic. See your doctor.

Different diagnosis?: If your tonsillitis is caused by bacteria, it should have been cured by one course of antibiotics. If you still have sore throat or large tonsils, it could be from other causes. A different antibiotic would not help. Please see a doctor who will look for other possibilities rather than jump to another medicine without checking.
