CMV: You can order separate IgG and IgM for CMV. I have to wonder if the lab you use does the IgG first and if negative runs the IgM as a positive IgG would usually mean past exposure. However, I would call the ordering physicians/CNMs office and confirm if they ordered both IgG and IgM.
