Bursitis just below knee cap (size of apple) burst when i bent down & drained into leg. now leg is sore but no pain, is it ok/safe for it to rupture?

Prepatellar bursitis: Sounds like prepatellar bursitis. Many pictures on google to help you decide if that is accurate. In general if symptoms improve with rupture and continue to improve as the swelling resolves it is a non-issue and nothing to worry about. If it worsens or new problems develop go to ED for evaluation.
