See orthopedic: Sounds like you need a thorough orthopedic evaluation. In the mean time i suggest rest, ice, elevation and an ace wrap.

Bursitis is one poss: Bursitis is one possibility but there are a lot of other things that could happen to the knee the answer depends on your evaluation, imaging, etc. Exercise is often a good choice but you still need a correct diagnosis. Other possibilities include butsitis other types of problems include , tendonitis , cartilage problems, ligament arthritis etc.

Several possibilitie: Pain in the knee with weightbearing could be from arthritis, a torn meniscus, or other issues. It's not possible to say without more information. If the knee has been hurting since october it's time to get it looked at again by a physician.
