Respiratory Virus: You are describing typical symptoms for an upper respiratory tract infection. Your ear symptoms can be caused by eustachian tube dysfunction where the opening to the tube in the back of your throat is irritated and swollen and prevents you from equalizing the pressure in your ears. Try decongestants and nasal saline irrigation. These viruses can last a week to 10 days.

Cold : Sounds like you have the common cold. I tell my patients to tart with the over the counter meds, Mucinex (guaifenesin) D and saline sinus rinse are good ones. If your symptoms last more than 10 days consider being seen for antibiotics
