Usually: wi9ll resolve itself. some times there are few medicines specific for hiccoughs that could be use for persistent hiccoughs

Neurological: Any hiccups that are persistent can be a sign of neurological problems and can be very serious. I would continue to follow up to find the source as this can be dangerous if ignored, if not extremely annoying.
