I took 2 doses f doxycycline then was told to stop.a day later i had some gurgling in my stomach and was tested for h. pylori which came back negative.i read that antibiotics could skew the test but can only 2 pills skew it if infection was active?

YOUR DR KNOWS THIS?: The best is to communicate with your doctor or the lab technician on your meds. Usually, you are instructed to avoid certain things that may risk the lab results. I don't know how sensitive this test is, but it relies on the H. pylori's activity to break down the chemical. If the antibiotic slows/weakens them, then the test may not be accurate--best to ask this question, so your test is reliable.
